Apple has started to invite the media for its WWDC keynote. Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will kick off on June 5, where the company is expected to bring to the stage some dramatic new updates to the iOS, MacOS among other things. While Apple, according to its character, has not revealed anything about what it is going to present at the show, it is expected that the company will follow its trend of focussing on software and leaving the hardware for other conferences. Meanwhile, Apple WWDC is an event where it focusses on developers, and it is evident from how on its website as well as the invite, the company has been reiterating about the importance of them.
The annual event to celebrate the developer community on Apple’s platform will be held at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose from June 5 to June 9. During the WWDC developers around the globe get to learn about the Apple’s amazing innovation and technologies. Apple claims that consumers have over a billion active devices and such events inspire developers to continue creating better experiences for customers. Apple, on the WWDC website, wrote: “Technology alone is not enough. Technology must intersect with the liberal arts and the humanities, to create new ideas and experiences that push society forward. This summer we bring together thousands of brilliant minds representing many diverse perspectives, passions, and talents to help us change the world.”
The event brings together Apple engineers with developers from the world over to discuss opportunities through engagement. This is the 28th WWDC that Apple will be organising and it is expected that there will be some announcements regarding its upcoming devices and software updates.
Apple will be holding keynote address, get together, sessions and labs for developers. The McEnery Convention Center, which is just minutes away from the company’s new headquarters in Cupertino, has organised a hub containing hotels, restaurants and entertainment choices, which will ensure easier and more engagement opportunities between developers and Apple engineers. According to Apple, the company along with San Jose will bring ‘very special experiences’ around the city all through the week.
For developers, they could buy tickets from March itself, but since they are offered through a lottery, they are sold out already. The conference will be live-streaming at the Apple Developer’s website as well as the WWDC app present in Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. But since tickets are once again being offered through a lottery, since previous years saw them selling out in under two minutes
What we can expect at the launch is some kind of announcement about the upcoming iPhone. Along with it, there are speculations that Apple might talk about the iOS update and Apple TV. One can also expect something on the lines of the recent immigration ban suggested by US President Donald Trump, against which Apple has been quite pro-active.
