The sales event will include discounts on the Segway MiniPro hoverboard, LSTN Troubadours on-ear headphones and Fayebeline Boutique baby onesies.
With Amazon’s second annual Prime Day sales event coming up next week, the e-commerce giant this year for the first time teased out some of its deals.
Among the thousands of sales planned, the company on Tuesday mentioned these deals:
- Segway MiniPro hoverboard, currently listed for $999 on the site, will be $799.
- LSTN Troubadours cherry wood on-ear headphones with In-line Microphone, currently listed for $149, will be $74.99.
- Fayebeline Boutique Baby Onesies, regularly $19.99, will sell for $15.99.
- LunoWear men’s wood watch The Orca, regularly $64.99, will sell for $39.99.
Amazon preannounced these deals to promote third-party sellers and small businesses on its website, including those selling these four products. Amazon has grown to become the biggest e-commerce company in the world thanks in part to sales by third-party merchants, so it wants to keep those sellers happy so they continue to operate on its site.
On Prime Day last year, Prime members bought more than 14 million items from sellers and small businesses. This year, Amazon said more third-party sellers will be involved and they will be offering many more deals.
In the run-up to Prime Deal, “countdown deals” kicked off Tuesday, with TVs and a James Bond Blu-Ray movie collection available on the site this morning.
