I have a Nikon D5100 camera. I bought it to test the Nikon products. The test is over. I will stick with Canon. I am disappionted in Nikon. What happened?

Nikon is better than canon in almost every camera??? I don't know what you're talking about… Nikon has more megapixels in their entry level cameras, can shoot at higher fps and for longer, can do more things, have more focus points and are just better overall in DR, IQ and ISO. DXO points that out, this sites entry camera competitors points that out too, as Nikon has more and does more than almost every canon mentioned.

Surely at some point we have to challenge the price and built in obsolescence of digital cameras. It appears to be an innovation cul de sac. By the rules that apply to CPUs' and flat screen TVs high quality imaging sensors should be free by now not more expensive than last year. In the good old days of film you could own a body for 20 years and buy yourself a new lense every year. With some standardisation it would be easy to put a new image sensor and CPU back of the same body every 5 years. And how about some real innovation by combining multiple sensors with different sensitivity to manage low light situations instead of playing the stupid ISO game between marketing departments.
