Luckily for you, retailers like Currys PC World, John Lewis & Partners and Amazon have already started slashing the prices on some of their bestselling camera and lens bundles a few weeks shy of the mega sales event that is Black Friday.
Whether you’re looking for a CSC, DSLR or action camera from Canon to Nikon, there’s going to be plenty of bargains up for grabs this Black Friday. Officially, Black Friday falls on Friday 23 November but Amazon has announced a 10-day-long sales event that will run from Friday 16 November to Sunday 25 November.

The best camera deals in November 2018
1. Canon PowerShot SX540 bridge camera (was £350, now £200)
With an all-new CMOS sensor, a faster DIGIC 6+ processor and iSAPS technology, the Canon PowerShot SX540 can take stunning shots quicker than ever before. Coming equipped with a 50x optical zoom, a broad focal range and optical image stabilisation, this bridge camera has plenty of nifty features that are usually reserved for DSLRs. And there’s plenty of creative modes, too, including a Full Manual mode to help budding photographers get to grips with the tech.
Currys has knocked £150 off this high performance bridge camera, bringing the price down to a more affordable £200.
2. Sony A6300 Mirrorless camera with 16-50 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens (was £879, now £679)
In our review, we praised the Sony A6300’s video capabilities and improved autofocus system but felt let down by its £1,000 price tag. Luckily, Sony has treated us to £200 cashback on a bargain bundle at Currys. The Sony A6300 and 16-50 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens originally retailed for £879 but you can now pick it up for £679.
3. Sony A7 mirrorless camera with with 28-70 mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens (was £875, now £725)
The Sony Alpha A7 delivers stunning DSLR-quality shots in a compact and lightweight package. One of the first compact system cameras to include a full-frame sensor, the Sony Alpha A7 comes with all the perks of a DSLR but at a cheaper price point. And now it’s available for £725 thanks to Sony’s £150 cashback offer.
4. Fujifilm X-T100 mirrorless camera and XC 15-45 mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens (was £590, now £500)
Built with the hobbyist in mind, the Fujifilm T-X100 comes equipped with a high-res sensor, 4K Ultra HD video quality and in-camera filters that let you skip the editing process. Retailing at Currys for £590, you can pick it up for £500 if you claim £90 cashback from the Fujifilm website. They’ve even thrown in the Fujicon XC 15-45 mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens, too.
5. Canon EOS M100 Mirrorless camera (was £429, now £329)
A mirrorless camera can make a great alternative to a standard DSLR; they’re lightweight, compact, offer better video quality and work out cheaper. While you may be limited for choice on lenses and accessories, a mirrorless camera is ideal for shooting on the go. There’s plenty of mirrorless camera deals available but our pick has to be the Canon EOS M100.
Coming with a 15-45 mm f/3.5-6.3 lens, the camera has a DIGIC 7 processor and speedy 24.2 megapixel CMOS sensor. It shoots in Full HD, has a selection of creative modes, an ultra precise auto focus and simple wireless connectivity.
6. Canon EOS 200D DSLR camera with EF-S 18-55 and EF 50 lens (was £700, now £529)
In our review of the Canon EOS 200D, we described this piece of kit as a solid performer at an attractive price, and now that price has become even lower. Its class-leading autofocus and responsive live view mode make this a very easy camera to get to grips with, and an excellent choice for shooting on the go.
On eBay, Currys PC World’s sale price of £529 is an applaudable £160 less than its original RRP.
7. GoPro Hero 5 Action (was £299, now £259)
Fancy picking up the Hero 4’s bigger sibling? Over at AO, the GoPro Hero 5 action camera has dropped from its original RRP of £399, down to £299 and they’ve since knocked a further £30 off. It shoots in brilliant 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, even creating time lapse videos, delivers 12MP stills, has an LCD touchscreen and a wide dynamic range which will pick up even in low light.
